The
Website
crownbus.com was founded
in May 1999. Since that time, crownbus.com has been an ongoing project
for eight years. Those who have been faithful visitors since the
beginning most likely recognize the many changes that this website has
undergone over the years. It is my hopes that throughout the numerous
changes in format that the optimum viewing experience has be achieved.
Unlike many school bus-related websites, this website serves as an
informational archive for both Crown Coach Corporation and Gillig
Brothers Built Buses. Updates are not made on a regular basis. The
information published on this website will continue to remain online for
future reference to viewers.
The Webmaster
Upon graduating from High
School in June of 2000, I pursued my ambition of wanting to drive a
School Bus. I became a "Zero-Restricted" California State
Certified School Bus Driver on Friday, October 13, 2000. Since
then, I have had my Class “B”
Commercial Driver License with Air Brake and Passenger Endorsements
along with my School Bus Endorsement. I am currently a Full-time College Student
as well as a School Bus Driver.
In May 2000, and again
in August 2000, I was featured in the industry trade publication School Bus Fleet
Magazine. I am a member of the National
Association for Pupil Transportation, NAPT, and hold one NAPT
Certification in School Bus Specifications, NAPT 503. I am also a
regular attendee of the
School Transportation News
School Bus EXPO that is held each Summer in Reno, Nevada.
